About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their warehouse operations based in Centurion, Gauteng . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, ensuring that stock levels are precisely managed to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing sophisticated systems to track and manage vast quantities of goods.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory data and physical counts.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory for appropriate action.
- Work closely with warehouse staff and procurement teams to manage inbound and outbound inventory movements accurately.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements to optimize stock management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inventory Control or warehouse inventory management.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools, preferably Excel.
- Detailed understanding of inventory principles, stocktaking methodologies, and supply chain best practices.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic warehouse setting.
