Data Entry Clerk/Sr. Clerk

Position Overview

The Data Entry Clerk/Sr. Clerk at Allstate Floral will quickly and accurately enter and update orders from a variety of sources, including email, fax, EDI, website and so on. You must be able to correct existing orders or data, update and cross reference existing excel files, and be comfortable working independently with entering orders, invoices or other data entry tasks.

Essential Functions
  • Process sales orders through fax in, website or email.
  • Process requests from outside sales representatives and internal staff which include sales order update, customer information update, create excel reports, report of any discrepancy of sales orders or pricing and etc.
  • Process new customer accounts and update related information.
  • Process EDI related documents including sales orders, invoices, ASN and alert any discrepancy to immediate supervisor.
  • Attend trade shows and process show orders and data record related changes.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Required

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma; college degree preferred in business, administration, or related field.
  • One+ years previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to quickly and accurately type and enter data; knowledge of touch-typing system preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of databases.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Able to travel for trade shows.
  • Great attention to detail, neat and organized and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong alpha-numeric data entry skill and fast typing with a minimum of 35 words per minute.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow specific guidelines.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • College degree preferred in business, administration, or related field.
  • Two+ years previous experience in data entry or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Travel

    Travel is primarily locally during the business day. Domestic travel is expected to our showrooms for trade shows and set‑ups, 4 to 6 times a year, for multiple days at a time. Destinations include Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, High Point, NC, and/or Las Vegas, NV.

    Work Environment

    This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. When expected to travel to trade shows, the environment becomes the showroom.

    Physical Demands
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance.
    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position in our Cerritos, California, headquarters. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If requested to travel to trade shows, the expected days and hours of work will change accordingly.

    Salary Range

    $18.00 - $20.00 hourly, depending on experience. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, and experience.
