As an HR Business Partner with The Oncology Institute, you will play a vital role in advancing compassionate, patient-centered cancer care by supporting and empowering the people who deliver it. You’ll partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to build a resilient, engaged workforce in a mission-driven environment where every role contributes to saving and improving lives.

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will work closely with leaders within your designated business unit to execute human capital and organizational strategies intended to attract, develop, and engage the teammates while advancing the organization’s business goals and objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop solutions to a variety of complex HR challenges impacting your division as well as the organization.

You will partner with our Teammate Services Centers of Excellence to deliver value-added service to teammates and leaders in the areas of employee relations, performance management, training & development, compensation and benefits, talent management, and employment law. You'll also serve as a coach and mentor for others within the department. This role will involve weekly local travel to our California clinics, and possible out-of-state travel.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
  • Live and exemplify TOI core values, providing outstanding customer service and promoting a positive experience for patients and staff members.
  • Conduct regular meetings with respective business units, both in-person and remotely.
  • Consult with leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of teammates, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and teammates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Support merger and acquisition (M&A) activities by assisting with preparing for the transaction, onboarding new teammates, and integrating the new business unit into TOI.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
