Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Services Engineer who combines deep Microsoft/Azure expertise with leadership qualities to help drive our cloud-first strategy. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and securing modern cloud services, while mentoring teammates and enabling business agility. The successful candidate will have proven experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra , Intune, and cloud security frameworks, and will serve as both a technical leader and collaborator across IT and the business.
This role is ideal for a security-minded engineer with a passion for building scalable, resilient cloud solutions that improve operations, strengthen security posture, and deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) aligned with a cloud-first strategy.
- Own lifecycle management of Intune, Entra , and related M365 security/compliance solutions.
- Remediate vulnerabilities, drive security hardening initiatives, and enforce FTCS safeguards and other compliance requirements.
- Lead incident response collaboration with the security team, ensuring rapid detection, containment, and recovery.
- Reduce non-integrated accounts by building seamless onboarding/offboarding processes tied to Entra Active Directory.
- Enhance user experience through automation and streamlined identity workflows.
- Develop automation (Power Shell, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines) to streamline operations and improve consistency.
- Act as a technical mentor for IT team members, sharing knowledge and developing cloud skillsets across the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with application, network, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent IT in business discussions, translating complex cloud concepts into business language for executives.
- This role includes participation in on-call rotations and responding to after-hours incidents as needed.
Required:
- Proven expertise with Entra , Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related M365 services.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Sentinel, Pager Duty, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership skills (mentoring, project leadership, and cross-functional influence).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-100, MS-102).
- Familiarity with automotive retail industry systems and compliance requirements.
- Strengthen the organization’s security posture, reducing vulnerabilities and non-compliant practices.
- Deliver scalable and resilient cloud services aligned with business priorities.
- Drive operational efficiencies through automation and streamlined processes.
- Mentor IT staff, growing the organization’s cloud and security maturity.
- Consistently represent IT as a trusted partner to the business, translating technology into measurable value.
