• Greet customers, receive and repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item, provide correct change.
• Process gift cards requested by customers.
• Be familiar with the menu and current prices.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, fast manner.
• Make corrections to orders quickly and efficiently.
• Identify counterfeit money and respond appropriately.
• Verify age requirements before serving alcoholic beverages.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a neat, clean, well‑groomed appearance.
• Keep work area clean and maintain equipment.
• Complete in‑service training, attendance, uniform and dress code requirements and other duties as assigned.

• Support the mission, values and vision of California Fish Grill.
• Follow safety protocols, fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all data including guest credit card information.
• Comply with all laws and policies to prevent sexual harassment and discrimination.
• Cooperate with colleagues, exercise judgment, and use appropriate communication.
• Follow up on complaints or problems with supervisor, co‑workers or guests.
• Promote positive public relations with the community, families and guests.

• Properly charge correct prices for food and drink.
• Operate POS and credit‑card equipment.
• Interact effectively with customers.
• Handle multiple tasks and remain composed under pressure.
• Perform physical tasks (reach, lift, kneel, stoop) up to 50 lbs.
• Wear personal protective equipment and adhere to safety rules.
• Be 18+ per state regulations to serve alcohol.

• High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years related work experience (or equivalent).
• Prior experience as a cashier or in food service.
• Valid Serv Safe® or other approved Food Handler Certification.
• High level of integrity and honesty.

Restaurant environment. May be required to work beyond normal hours to meet customer needs.

• Frequent standing, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, and kneeling.
• Perform tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
