General Operative (2 Positions) – Data Centre Project

Pentagon Technical Services is currently recruiting 2 General Operatives to support a major data centre construction project in Lisbon, Portugal.

This is a 14‑week contract. You will work alongside experienced construction teams, assisting with general site duties to help ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the project.

• Carry out general labouring duties across the construction site.
• Assist skilled trades, supervisors, and site management with daily activities.
• Load, unload, move, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Support with waste management and site cleanliness.
• Assist with deliveries and material handling.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Work safely at all times, following Health & Safety procedures and site regulations.
• Wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Carry out any other general site duties as required.

• Previous experience as a General Operative, Labourer, or Construction Operative is preferred.
• Experience working on construction, industrial, or commercial projects is advantageous.
• Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety practices on construction sites.

• Previous experience working on data centre or mission‑critical projects.
• Valid Health & Safety certification.
• Basic English communication skills.
