ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at a Barchester care home, you will use your compassion and initiative to ensure residents receive high‑quality care. Your responsibilities include planning rotas, recruiting, training and mentoring staff, and building relationships with local regulators and social services. You will plan, manage and monitor nursing delivery to meet all residents’ needs, implementing person‑centred care plans that improve day‑to‑day life.
This role offers freedom and autonomy to lead your unit from strength to strength, with numerous professional development opportunities.
You are a Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration. You have experience producing well‑developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, and you stay current with recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You are a natural leader who has acted as a clinical mentor, supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship, and you are dedicated, ambitious, resilient, with a strong record of quality‑care improvements.
