$17.50/hr – $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Contribute to a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including greeting customers, providing assistance, and resolving issues.
• Support pharmacy operations: enter patient and drug data, fill prescriptions, check for interactions, and maintain accurate logs.
• Handle cash register duties, process payments, and assist customers with OTC purchases.
• Answer telephone inquiries and process third‑party prescription claims.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Support clinical services such as collecting and labeling blood/urine samples, and participate in community outreach and provider detailing.
• Maintain compliance with Walgreens’ Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Participate in training, quality improvement programs, and special assignments as directed.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members.
• Develop strong relationships with high‑value customers.

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision and review compliance with company policy.
• Coordinate workflow, schedule, and record keeping with Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality improvement procedures.
• Process and correct manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Maintain pharmacy department cleanliness, organization, and supply inventories.
• Assist in community outreach, provider detailing, and maintain relationships with local medical professionals.
• Comply with company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete special assignments.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state requirement; earn certification as a condition of promotion.
• Attend training, complete required provider learning plans, and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy updates.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment, preferably with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
