The Gate Inspector will inspect each and every tank that leaves the facility for defects, damages, placards, and making sure the correct tank is leaving the facility.

• Checking tanks as they are transported into and out of the facility to ensure that all defects and damages are noted for liability purposes
• Ensure that the correct tanks are leaving the facility for transport, and to serve as a last quality control check prior to transport to the customer
• Conduct walk‑around inspections of tanks as they leave the facility to determine any defects or damages before the tank is delivered to the customer
• Compares the tank numbers on customer work orders to the actual tank numbers to ensure that the correct tank is being delivered
• Acts as the last step in the quality control process and will handle other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail to have the ability to perform high‑quality inspections to note defects & damages
• Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry
• Basic computer knowledge (G‑Suite knowledge preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
