Overview

The Home Depot is hiring for a Freight/Receiving role. Associates in Freight/Receiving ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and help maintain proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is sometimes required and excellent customer service skills are expected.

The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate, and Receiving Support.

• Load and unload trucks and transport merchandise to appropriate areas in the store.
• Move materials from receiving to stocking locations and maintain accurate on-hand inventory and pricing.
• Operate forklifts where required and follow all safety procedures.
• Provide direct customer service as needed and respond to customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with team to ensure shelves are stocked and the store is ready for business.

• Ability to lift and move merchandise of varying weights.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts may be required (training provided).
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
