job summary

under general supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.

job specific duties

under close-to-general supervision, provides a variety of routine non-clerical general business support functions for an institution, centralized district/regional office, a section/division of an office in an agency or a similar entity. Under the direction of the administrative officer, the administrative data analyst complies data for an array of administrative functions to ensure quality control and assurance with all data records or transactions.

Coordinate district metrics. Reviews requisitions and account codes for discrepancies. Assist with reports of compiled information for management. Also, review accounting statements, invoices, quotes, or other information for accuracy. Ensure compliance with state customer service metrics. May also assist with customer service operations to meet goals or objectives. Other typical support functions include a combination of routine accounting (posting, reconciliation) and/or budget development and monitoring, personnel, and payroll transactions, purchasing and inventory, records management and/or related areas.

May supervise a small number of clerical, technical, maintenance or other staff. May serve as an assistant to other higher-level managers.

minimum qualifications
  • state entry qualifications: high school diploma/ged and three (3) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level admin assistant 1 (gst
    050) or position equivalent.
  • agency minimum qualifications: experience organizing and coordinating meetings, facilities, and information for staff members.
