Job Summary
GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV) is addressing the climate crisis with the mission of electrifying the world while decarbonizing it. The Welder C‑Class position will perform all welding operations including shielded metal arc, submerged arc, plasma arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and oxygen/acetylene welding, as well as brazing, soldering, and torch cutting operations. The role involves developing and working from simple prints and sketches, performing less difficult work involving layouts and setups, and may assist on more complex jobs or direct/train others as needed.

- Daily tasks for upkeep and maintenance of machining equipment and material handling equipment.
- Assist with steam turbine repairs, shop services such as welding, CNC milling, lathes, horizontal boring machines, and hand‑working of parts.
- Assist with generator field repair and refurbishment.
- Perform more complex and complicated tasks based on skill and ability, with consideration for employee development.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least two years of experience in welding, machining (conventional or CNC), or technical assembly.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
The pay for this position is $27.68 per hour. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Location:
Chamblee, GA facility – full‑time onsite position. New hires will work the 1st shift schedule of Monday‑Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM ET during training, then move to the 2nd shift schedule of Monday‑Friday 4:10 PM – 1:00 AM ET after training. Overtime is available but not mandatory.
