Overview

Carle Health is seeking a fellowship‑trained Medical Retina Specialist to join our busy Ophthalmology practice in Champaign, Illinois. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and offers a competitive 2‑year guaranteed base salary and professional development opportunities.

• Provide high quality, compassionate retinal care to a high volume of Medical Retina cases.
• Cover 1:5 call schedule and maintain clinical quality standards.
• Participate in a collegial environment with mentorship from 6 Ophthalmologists, 5 Optometrists, and a dedicated Eye EMR team.
• Maintain proficiency with state‑of‑the‑art equipment including Zeiss, Alcon, and advanced imaging platforms.
• Collaborate with academic and research affiliates at Carle Illinois College of Medicine.

• BC/BE Medical Retina fellowship–trained physician.
• Strong medical skills, personable, team‑player, and motivated to cover high case volume.
• Experience with advanced retinal imaging and surgical equipment is preferred.

• Guaranteed 2‑year base salary, competitive sign‑on, and call 1:5.
