Sr. Project Manager - Water Resources Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Central Illinois. Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our water resources design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater planning and infrastructure projects for various mid-west municipalities, public and private utilities, and water and sewer districts.

• Work with discipline and regional leadership to grow the Water Resources team and service line in the Central Illinois region.
• Lead and mentor junior-level engineers and other team members to aid in their development.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, building new opportunities for business development.
• Serve as a project manager with responsibility for wastewater, drinking water, and storm water projects.
• Apply knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
• Serve as a technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods.
• Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE).
• 12+ years of experience in this discipline.
• Extensive experience managing and designing wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater projects.
• Experience with project management and accounting software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including:
  Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.

Pay range: $100,000 - $140,000 a year. The pay range will vary based upon the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
