PositionFarnsworth Group is seeking a Municipal Civil Engineer in one of the below posting locations. In this role, you will be focused on the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects including water/wastewater/stormwater for local and government agencies.
Posting Locations:
Champaign, Chicago, Effingham, Normal, Peoria, Pontiac, or Tinley Park, IL
- Manage, support and build relationships with clients and agencies
- Work with a variety of projects for municipal client needs related to water, sewer and streets
- Conduct field inspections, measurements or calculations
- Perform condition assessments
- Prepare and develop construction, design documents and plans
- Manage projects and programs from inception to completion
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 2 - 5 years of Civil Engineering experience
- FE or PE Certification, or expected to be obtained
- Experience with IDOT, MFT and local agency projects
- Experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Ability to work both in the office and field for construction engineering and observation
- Management, communication, and organization skills
