Universal Banker (Full Time)
First State Bank and Trust (FSBT) is seeking a full‑time Universal Banker in Champaign, IL. The Universal Banker serves as both teller and personal banker, processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and recommending financial products.

Responsibilities- Conduct routine transactions (cash checks, accept deposits, process withdrawals, handle loan payments) within established guidelines.
- Count, verify, and handle large volumes of cash while ensuring compliance with internal controls and security protocols.
- Open new accounts and help customers select appropriate banking products.
- Provide excellent customer service: greet customers, listen to needs, resolve inquiries, and address complaints with empathy.
- Educate customers about savings accounts, loans, and credit cards, and cross‑sell relevant products.
- Safeguard customers' personal information and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the bank.
- Remain alert to potential fraud and take necessary precautions.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in banking or customer service preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
$31,200 – $34,320 per year.
