The Arrow EMT responds to emergency and non‑emergency ambulance requests. Assigned daily and weekly duties include cleaning of ambulances and equipment, to be completed during work hours.

• Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the ill and injured.
• Check and monitor ambulance readiness.
• Communicate crew and vehicle position at all times.
• Clean ambulances, utility vehicles, and crew quarters daily.
• Provide direction to EMTs while on ambulance calls.
• Transport patients in a wheelchair van when needed.
• Manage patient care during transport to the hospital.
• Assess blood glucose and provide treatment if necessary.
• Perform CPR and use an AED.
• Control hemorrhage.
• Apply bandages and dressings.
• Assess for breathing difficulties and apply oxygen when needed.
• Assist in childbirth.
