OverviewThis role is responsible for supervising and maintaining the plant’s Quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, federal, and local laws. Areas of focus include identifying and achieving facility Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) KPI targets through corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Actively engage in planning, defining, and directing the site auditing control program to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, GMP standards, Kraft Heinz requirements, and regulatory, federal and local laws.
- Ensure compliance to Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) principles through routine auditing, reporting and trending of processes and regulatory controls.
- Support the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.
- Train, mentor, and lead site QA and Production teams to ensure program goals are met.
- Adhere to approved change control procedures, including reviewing partial HACCP plans and issuing Agile change requests as needed.
- Monitor and maintain the KHMS program by complying with current Kraft Heinz and International Audit (FSSC/ISO) standards. Facilitate and co-lead the site cross-functional KHMS Team and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful site certification.
- Ensure FSQ/KPI/MBO action plans are maintained and progress toward targets is made.
- Support all internal and external inspections/regulatory visits. Prepare for audits, accompany inspectors, and complete necessary reports and postings.
- Perform follow-ups to non-conformances and provide responses as appropriate.
- Review and approve minor process change requests.
- Create and track Hold/Release documentation and dispositioning of products.
- Complete or assist with validation studies for all CCPs, OPRPs and other significant controls in accordance with approved methodologies.
- Provide expertise and actively participate in equipment commissioning and startup, ensuring standardization of all applicable quality and food safety procedures.
- Support 3rd shift sanitation activities and training.
- Proven history of technical quality or production knowledge of policies & programs in Food or relevant manufacturing settings.
- Education or operational knowledge of Food Science, Food Production, Manufacturing Quality/Operations, or related environments.
- Strong leadership, technical, communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of quality or production systems, procedures, & policies. Ability to handle multiple assignments, develop work plans, and prioritize.
- Knowledge of statistical processes.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Positive approach to problem-solving with emphasis on long-term preventative and proactive measures through individual or team-driven actions.
- Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and all required overtime. Prompt and regular attendance.
This position is in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and all required overtime as needed. This role will typically support 3rd shift operations Monday to Friday (10:30 pm to 7:00 am).
Physical RequirementsPhysical demands include but are not limited to:
- Frequent activity or conditions sustained for a portion of working hours; keyboard or text input, upright stance; moderate physical exertion (lifting 10-50 lbs as needed).

Compensation & BenefitsNew Hire Base Salary Range: $77,800.00 - $97,300.00

This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
