Job Summary:
Marketing Assistant – Social Media Focus The Marketing Assistant develops, organizes, and manages engaging content across multiple platforms to support brand awareness and marketing goals. This role combines strategy, content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis to ensure brand consistency and audience engagement. The ideal candidate understands social trends, audience behavior, and data-driven decision-making.
Essential Functions
* Brainstorm and organize content ideas using various software tools
* Design graphics, infographics, and visual assets using Canva and/or other creative tools
* Write compelling copy, captions, and hashtags aligned with brand voice
* Produce video content using mobile devices or other recording tools
* Revise content based on feedback from comments and internal review
* Schedule posts using automation tools for optimal reach
* Incorporate approved hashtags, links, and relevant messaging
* Monitor and respond to post interactions daily (comments, likes, shares)
* Track performance using platform and analytics tools
* Adjust content strategies based on engagement and performance insights
* Ensure all posts are consistent with branding and approved by the Marketing Coordinator Additional Responsibilities
* Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices
* Contribute to social media campaigns and promotional planning
* Coordinate with internal teams for content sourcing and feedback
* Other tasks as requested. At Simplified, we operate as a team, and everyone contributes wherever needed
Necessary Skills
* 2+ years of hands-on experience managing social media platforms in a business setting
* Proficiency in tools like Canva, scheduling platforms, and analytics dashboards
* Proficiency in with MS Teams, Word, Excel
* Experience with scheduling tools
* Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, X Analytics)
* Strong copywriting and editing skills
* Excellent organization and time management
* Adaptability to trends and audience shifts
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
* Experience Jira and/or Odoo is a plus
