Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part‑Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program. You will be teaching students in the role of facilitator, role model, coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates.
Part‑time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach 2 synchronous live lectures each week on Wednesdays; one between 7 am‑12 pm Central Time plus one between 5 pm‑9:30 pm Central Time. Professors will be available via e‑mail, online conferencing or telephone, to provide support and respond to student’s enquiries in a timely manner.
We are presently accepting applications from experienced faculty with experience teaching in the following areas of course specialization:
- Pathophysiology:
This course explores the pathophysiological processes of disease, including clinical manifestations, complications, and variations in wellness. The course examines environmental and lifestyle influences, as well as other risks that affect these processes. Students will learn about the changes in cellular and systemic physiology in medical conditions. - Pharmacology:
This course covers the clinical aspects of drug therapy, including the mechanism of action for various drug classifications and their therapeutic uses, with an emphasis on the nursing process, safety, and patient education across the lifespan. Key topics include safe administration, dosage calculation, side and adverse effects, nursing implications, and the role of the nurse as an advocate, educator, and care manager in relation to drug therapy.
