Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an OR Surgicenter position in Illinois, requiring EPIC charting proficiency and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based ambulatory surgery center (OR Surgicenter)
- Patient population includes surgical patients requiring perioperative nursing care
- Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- EPIC electronic medical record system used and experience required
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, IV establishment, medication administration, and participation in surgical time-out procedures
- Duties require accurate documentation and communication with healthcare team members
- Return to work at this health system requires a 6-month break after 1 year on assignment
- No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
- Requested time off cannot exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
- Scrub color or dress code details will be provided at assignment onboarding
- Candidates must provide required documents and complete compliance steps before start
- Active Illinois RN license; temporary licenses accepted
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Minimum of one year of relevant operating room nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
