The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on those undergoing endoscopy procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
Responsibilities include performing initial assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and documenting nursing interventions accurately. The RN prepares patients for procedures, monitors and sedates patients during intra-procedure phases, and cares for them in recovery.
They collaborate with team members, delegate tasks to unlicensed staff, and assist during anesthesia-involved cases.
Qualifications include a valid nursing license in Illinois,
BLS certification, and ACLS within three months. A nursing diploma and clinical nursing experience are required.
