Part-Time Sales Teammate – The Buckle, Inc.

Summary:

The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay range: $15-$16/hr the estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. For sales positions, Buckle pays a base rate plus commission on sales. The range listed is the estimated base rate plus commission for Teammates in this position.

Sales Generation and Guest Service

  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service to each Guest.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
  • Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education to Guests and share that knowledge with the Team.
  • Remain knowledgeable about current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Contribute to personal sales goals and support teammates with the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG).
  • Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
  • Provide legendary service across Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area.
  • Help Guests try on or fit merchandise, check out and bag purchases, and prepare merchandise for alterations.
  • Understand exchange/return procedures and turn them into customer service opportunities.
  • Maintain and utilize the SPG daily to accomplish goals.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards in Buckle business builders and guest loyalty initiatives.
  • Place special orders or call other stores to locate desired merchandise.
  • Build and maintain guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
  • Understand Buckle’s customer service expectations and apply them to meet Guest needs.
  • Model leadership actions and maintain high standards, whether a Manager is present.
  • Other duties as assigned with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development

  • Recognize recruiting opportunities and use Jobs & Careers cards, referrals and Teammate recommendations.
  • Foster relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred programs.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful floor culture.

Visual Merchandise Management

  • Present merchandise to maximize sales and maintain merchandise turn.
  • Stay current on product range and gather feedback for improvements.
