Aboutthe Role
Yahoo DSP is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Analytics & Forecasting to serve as a subject‑matter expert on the performance of Yahoo's demand‑side platform business. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for revenue pacing and forecasting, sales performance analytics, and advanced ad hoc analysis in support of executive decision‑making. The role builds on an established analytics foundation, including automated performance reporting and statistical forecasting systems.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for validating and extending this output, developing an independent point of view on business trajectory, and building new analytical tooling using modern AI‑assisted development workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative and technical skills with sound business judgment, and is comfortable operating across forecasting, sales economics, and investigative analysis while communicating directly with senior leadership.
Revenue Pacing & Account Performance
- Serve as the organization's primary resource for DSP revenue performance, maintaining detailed command of pacing, advertiser‑level trends, and underlying drivers
- Review, validate, and extend automated performance reporting, providing analysis and context beyond system‑generated output
- Monitor account‑level risk indicators, including deceleration, revenue concentration, and churn signals, and elevate emerging issues proactively
- Deliver clear, decision‑relevant analysis and narrative to executive and global leadership
- Own the recurring review of revenue forecast output, developing an independent and defensible view of expected performance for the upcoming quarter and beyond
- Build and maintain supplementary models where existing systems do not fully address a business question
- Evaluate external predictors and leading indicators – including macroeconomic conditions, seasonality, and category dynamics – for potential to improve forecast accuracy
- Support planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and forecast‑to‑goal analysis in partnership with FP&A and leadership
- Own ongoing tracking and analysis of commission performance across the sales organization, including earnings distribution, quota attainment, and commissionable revenue ratios
- Develop a consistent monitoring framework for seller economics, identifying outliers and emerging risks – both elevated payout exposure and underperformance – early enough to inform action
- Analyze plan mechanics, including accelerator exposure, and surface structural findings to leadership
- Partner with Sales Operations and Finance on plan health while owning the analytical and monitoring layer
- Dedicate substantial time to hands‑on development, working daily in AI‑assisted development environments to build, extend, and maintain internal reporting and analysis tools
- Convert recurring analytical questions into durable, self‑service tooling rather than repeated one‑off analyses
- Identify gaps, blind spots, and false positives in existing automated systems, and either resolve them directly or define precise requirements for the teams maintaining them
- Reduce time‑to‑insight for stakeholders across the organization
