The Recruiting Hive is seeking a traveling field technician to test and maintain high-voltage substation equipment for utility and industrial customers across the Midwest. This position is home-based near Chicago, IL, or Springfield, IL, or Madison or Green Bay, WI, with up to 100% travel.
You will test, troubleshoot and commission LV through HV systems up to 765 kV, inspect gear such as SF6 gas breakers and GIS, and test transformers from small units to large power transformers.
