The City of Champlin is accepting applications for an Engineering Intern.
The Engineering Intern is a seasonal position that assists the Engineering Department with the oversight of municipal and private infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include interpreting construction plans and specifications to guide field crews and assisting with project compliance. The role involves regular interaction with the public, contractors, and City staff, requiring strong communication skills. The intern will prepare daily inspection reports and project documentation accurately.
Additional duties include conducting surveying tasks with GPS equipment and assisting with drafting and mapping using AutoCAD and ArcGIS software.
