Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Join Walgreens Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship role. The apprenticeship provides entry point and training to become a PTCB certified Pharmacy Technician.

Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $20.50/hr.

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, following state and federal regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Coach other pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience; greet customers and resolve issues.
• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in dispensing, inventory management, and clinical services; record all sales on assigned cash register.
• Maintain Good Faith Dispensing policy and report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the apprenticeship program; promotion to senior technician requires PTCB certification.
• Attend training requested by Manager and acquire continuing education credits; maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

• Six months experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Experience with Walgreens preferred.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer and store inventory control knowledge.
• PTCB certification preferred.
