Phlebotomy Technician – Champlin, MN – Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job SummaryThe Phlebotomy Technician accurately performs venous and capillary blood collection, processes Point of Care Testing (POC) and supports laboratory operations. The role requires a high level of patient interaction, meticulous specimen handling, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
CompensationPay range: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

- Collect venous or capillary blood from newborn to geriatric patients using aseptic technique
- Perform POC tests, clean and re‑stock supplies, and prepare phlebotomy carts/trays
- Assist coworkers with draws and POC testing and deliver specimens to laboratory as needed
- Log refrigerator temperatures daily and report out‑of‑range readings
- Travel to health fairs and PSA testing sites, delivering specimens to laboratory
- Communicate with patients, parents, and caregivers at an appropriate level, respecting age, culture, language, and disability status
- Adhere to clinic organizational competencies and report incidents or supply needs promptly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, Washington
- Lift 1–25 pounds frequently; 26–40 pounds occasionally; 41+ pounds not to be lifted without assistance
- Stand or sit for long periods; perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand
- Must be able to travel; extensive use of phone and PC; fine dexterity, walking, and balance required
