To strengthen its academic and industry alignment, the university is seeking to appoint a senior industry professional to lead and manage its Supply Chain & Logistics academic program.
Position Overview
The Program Director – Supply Chain & Logistics will be responsible for leading the academic, operational, and strategic development of the program. The role requires a seasoned industry professional who can bridge academic excellence with industry relevance and ensure the program remains progressive, future-ready, and aligned with evolving global supply chain trends.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the overall design, development, and execution of the Supply Chain & Logistics program.
- Develop and implement a progressive, industry-aligned curriculum incorporating global best practices and emerging technologies.
- Drive program growth, positioning, and academic excellence.
Curriculum Development
- Design and continuously upgrade curriculum to reflect current industry trends including digital supply chains, automation, AI, sustainability, and global logistics.
- Introduce experiential learning models including case studies, simulations, live projects, and industry immersion.
Industry Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce, and supply chain organizations.
- Facilitate industry collaborations, guest lectures, internships, and placement opportunities.
- Represent the program in industry forums, conferences, and professional networks.
Academic & Operational Management
- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development.
- Ensure high standards of teaching delivery, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
- Manage program operations including scheduling, student performance tracking, and quality assurance.
Student Development
- Mentor students and support career readiness initiatives.
- Promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in supply chain management.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to university academic policies and accreditation standards.
- Drive continuous program evaluation and improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 20–30 years of relevant industry experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce, or related sectors.
- Prior experience in academic leadership, training, or corporate learning & development will be highly desirable.
- Strong industry network and understanding of evolving supply chain technologies and practices.
