Job SummaryPrimary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Network Construction Project Manager with our telecommunications client in Chandler, AZ. 12‑month contract with potential for extension.
Pay$35.00–$40.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
ScheduleHybrid role: 60% office, 40% field. Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM AZ time.
Responsibilities- Creating work packages for vendors, coordinating construction schedules, communicating with vendors and inspectors, resolving construction issues in the field, and ensuring projects are built on schedule and within budget.
- Working with all team members to anticipate and solve problems that may arise during any phase of the build process.
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting for assigned projects; maintaining open communication across all areas of the business and working as a unit with consistency.
- Delivering key KPIs: % On‑Time Install, fiber complete for small cell, small cell LCD, installed enterprise revenue, vendor and vehicle safety.
- Supporting the Network Construction team with tasks such as correspondence, administrative tasks (POs & invoicing), tracking project deliverables, monitoring deadlines, managing vendors, and providing regular reports highlighting variances.
- Ability to organize work across several different projects simultaneously.
- Communicate updates in a concise and timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Engineering, Permitting, Regulatory, Operations, and Project Delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Fiber construction drawing and design proficiency.
- Small cell construction drawing and design proficiency.
- OSP fiber construction (bore, trench, aerial placement, leased duct).
- Node and power construction (foundation, pole installation, power installation, RF component installation, troubleshooting).
- Understanding of the process for bringing metered power to a small cell site.
- Construction crew management.
- Understanding of 811 utility location process and best practices for safe sub‑surface construction.
- Excel and Smart Sheets.
- High School degree.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience.
- General knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS.
- General knowledge of Small Cell Construction techniques.
- Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing OTDR, PIM, and SWEEP.
- General knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards.
- Knowledge of budget development and execution.
- Knowledge of construction management process.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to direct and diagnose workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies in a timely manner.
- Customer service orientation with a strong problem‑solving approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills – MS Office, Smart Sheets, and Excel.
- Will be required to travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions 40% of the time.
- Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions 60% of the time.
