Senior Steel Estimator – Chandler, AZ

Pay : $100K-$120K per year DOE

Schedule : 8-hour Shifts, Monday to Friday

Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Steel Estimator to join a fast-paced and growing structural steel fabrication environment. In this role, you will review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to assemble accurate bid proposals and ensure estimates reflect both project scope and quality standards. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness to prepare detailed estimates.
• Provide technical guidance to project managers and detailers regarding proposal details.
• Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate manpower, equipment, and planning accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date market pricing and track bid activity through logs and follow-ups.
• Assist in buyout item procurement and update historical labor data in software systems.
• Support business development efforts by helping expand and strengthen the customer base.

Key Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training in engineering or drafting preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in structural steel estimating or a related field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software (Tekla, Trimble, etc.).
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates.
• Knowledge of fabrication and erection standards, drafting procedures, and 3D modeling software.
