Part-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant – Heartland Dental

Join a dedicated team at Sierra Family Dentistry, Chandler, AZ. Assist in patient care, chairside procedures, and office workflow.

• Welcome patients and ensure a comfortable visit
• Conduct thorough health history reviews
• Take x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance during a wide variety of procedures (four‑handed dentistry)
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA & CDC)
• Manage supply inventory and place orders as needed
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

• 2+ years experience as a Dental Assistant preferred; must hold EFDA certifications
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software
• Dental assisting school certification and RHS certification in AZ required
• EFDA certification in AZ required
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to protect PHI and maintain HIPAA compliance

• Part‑time schedule:
  Monday/Wednesday 9:00‑5:00;
  Tuesday 9:00‑6:00

• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions
• TB test required for new hires
