The Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) is one of the largest community college systems in the country, comprising 10 colleges and 31 satellite locations throughout Greater Metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. Chandler-Gilbert Community College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC), one of the ten Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) serving the greater metropolitan area of Phoenix, Arizona. CGCC was founded in 1985 to serve the higher education needs of the Southeast Valley and was accredited as an independent college in 1992 by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association.

CGCC's three campuses serve more than 19k students each year. Offering over 70 Associate degrees and certificates. CGCC just launched its first Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. CGCC boasts one of the highest four-year transfer rates in Arizona, cutting-edge workforce partnership programs, while also serving the second-largest population of dual enrollment students in the District.

Reporting directly to the College President, the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) serves as the Chief Academic Officer by leading, planning, organizing, and administering all academic and instructional support areas of the college. The VPAA is a vital member of a dynamic senior leadership team and an innovative college culture that is fully committed to student success.

CGCC faculty value excellence in teaching and learning and partners with administration to actively practice a robust approach to shared governance. A successful candidate will have the ability to build and enhance relationships and partnerships with faculty and the broader college community to empower collaboration and innovation to support teaching and learning.
