Level 1 located in Chandler, AZ
, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation tool chains.
• Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6
  
  DOF) simulation to design and test missile flight code.
• Work with 6
  
  DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance.
• Work with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code.
• Work with various trajectory optimization software and tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Exposure to C++ development in a Linux environment.
• Exposure to MATLAB and Python tool chains.

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Control systems theory and flight dynamics proficiency.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB and Python.
• Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python tool chains.
• Existing active and in scope Secret Clearance upon application.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
