Environmental Project Scientist – Phoenix, AZ
Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Job SummaryTrileaf is seeking a full‑time Environmental Project Scientist for our Phoenix, Arizona office with at least 0–1 year of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs.
Essential Job Functions- Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3–4 days per week)
- Conduct interviews, in person, via email, and phone
- Order and analyze government database records
- Review historical data, including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs
- Draft a standardized report using information from these various sources
- Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
- Complete requested revisions and submit report within pre‑established timelines
- Conduct field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, soil vapor) and/or indoor air
- Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

- Experience with Phase I Assessments
- Experience with NEPA Assessments
- 40‑Hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Management experience
- Mold assessment experience
- Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
- Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
- Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
- Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10
6) - Environmental Professional (EP)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields.
