DOD Secret Clearance

This position supports the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) department, focusing on cutting-edge technology and the tuning of guidance algorithms for hypersonic interceptor development. The role involves designing, developing, and testing algorithms, software, and simulation tools for a variety of flight systems.

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools for guidance, navigation, and control.
• Perform GNC for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and launch vehicles during various flight phases.
• Conduct statistical processing of measured data for navigation functions.
• Formulate guidance equations to achieve desired positions, orientations, or orbits.
• Develop control laws and define hardware and software requirements.

• Experience designing, tuning, implementing, and testing guidance algorithms and autopilot parameters for guided missiles or interceptors.
• Previous experience designing, implementing, and testing missile autopilot systems, including exposure to multiple control system schemes and linear stability analysis.
• A strong understanding of missile control systems, including classical and modern control theory.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB, and Python.
• Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Python tool chains.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance prior to beginning work on the program.

• Active DOD secret clearance
• Experience working with GNC algorithms for hypersonic missiles.
• Experience with the AEGIS weapon system.
• Experience with IR discrimination and tracking.
• Familiarity with state estimation and state propagation techniques.
