Health Safety Environmental and Security Specialist

Summary
- The Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) Specialist will provide assistance to company Operations facilities for HSES programs to help achieve Corporate/Site objectives.
- This role is direct HSE support during the execution of TAR’s and Projects, providing daily support and oversight of Health and Safety Regulations to Contractors working on site.
- The scope is a remote field role supporting NAM TARs and Projects in the US and Canada in preparation for work and providing HSE technical support during work performed.
- Provide HSE support during plant turn-around and projects.
- Perform contractor safety management pre-work reviews, site contractor work overview, and post contractor work assessments.
- Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure safety, health, and environmental requirements are met.
- Respond and provide direct HSE assistance to sites in emergency situations.
- Participate in MOC review, HAZOP, and FMEAs for processes and products as needed.
- Coordinate with project planning managers and direct reporting manager to ensure HSE support for TAR and Project schedules are understood and potential HSE issues anticipated.
- Adapt quickly to TAR and Project schedule changes and communicate timely with reporting manager and stakeholders to ensure continuity of HSE support.
- Act as a technical HSE resource during TAR and Project activities.
- Conduct scheduled HSE assessments and audits.
- Contribute and co-author HSE standards.
- Provide technical and mentor assistance with peer HSE Specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in HSE or STEM discipline.
- Advanced understanding with application of compliance standards and risk assessment methodologies and tools.
- Experience in confined space entry, energy isolation, fall protection, and process safety.
- Minimum 5 years HSE operations experience working in industrial gas, energy, manufacturing, or construction operations.
- Certifications in field of expertise preferred (CSP, CIH, OHST, REM, REP, etc).
