The Phoenix Pro League is seeking dependable Game Clock Operators to manage the official game time during league contests. The role is vital to maintaining game flow and fairness.
RequirementsRegular Season (9 hours per day):
Dates:
June 20, June 27, July 4, July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 (2026)
Staff Arrival: 11:00 AM
Departure: 8:00 PM
Playoffs:
August 15, 2026 (4.5 hours):12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (2 games)
August 22, 2026 (3 hours):2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Championship Game)
Responsibilities:
Operate the main game clock and scoreboard.
Start and stop the clock in accordance with game rules and officials’ signals.
Coordinate with referees and shot clock operator to ensure timing accuracy.
Reset clock and scoreboard as directed by referees.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a game clock/scoreboard preferred.
Familiarity with basketball timing rules.
Ability to focus and react quickly during fast-paced play.
Strong communication with referees and staff.
Availability: Must be available to work during the Phoenix Pro League season (June through the end of August).
