The Phoenix Pro League is hiring Shot Clock Operators to manage the official shot clock during games. This position plays a critical role in ensuring games are conducted fairly and smoothly.
RequirementsRegular Season (9 hours per day):
Dates:
June 20, June 27, July 4, July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8 (2026)
Staff Arrival: 11:00 AM
Departure: 8:00 PM
Playoffs:
August 15, 2026 (4.5 hours):12:30 PM – 5:00 PM (2 games)
August 22, 2026 (3 hours):2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Championship Game)
Responsibilities:
Operate the shot clock according to NCAA/FIBA rules.
Reset the shot clock based on game play (e.g., possession changes, fouls, shot attempts).
Work in coordination with referees and the game clock operator.
Ensure the shot clock is visible and functioning properly before each game.
Qualifications:
Experience operating a shot clock preferred.
Strong understanding of basketball rules related to shot clock use.
Ability to remain attentive and accurate during fast-paced action.
Reliable and punctual.
Availability: Must be available to work during the Phoenix Pro League season (June through the end of August).
