Job Type: 12 + Months Contract to hire

Max Pay Rate: $23 - 24/hr

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Documentation Specialist to support the Loan Documentation and Underwriting teams. This role will focus on high-accuracy document review, data verification, and cross-system validation. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of mortgage lending processes, policy compliance, and customer service best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end loan documentation processes, including receipt, review, organization, and system entry of financial and insurance documents.
• Accurately review complex documentation to ensure compliance with underwriting and regulatory standards.
• Perform transactional support tasks with high attention to detail, including cross-referencing and data matching across multiple systems.
• Interact with internal teams and client personnel to resolve documentation discrepancies or missing information.
• Proactively provide feedback and suggest improvements to tools, templates, and workflows affecting the Loan Documentation function.
• Ensure correct data entry, document labeling, and secure filing of sensitive financial and insurance records.
• Support escalated customer and internal inquiries related to documentation and processing timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Underwriters, Loan Officers, and Compliance teams to support fast and accurate loan decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a Underwriting, Mortgage, Loan or related mortgage/lending environment.
• Prior experience in underwriting or document review roles, especially within mortgage loan processing.
• Strong knowledge of insurance documents, loan policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven accuracy in data entry, form validation, and document matching across systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with mortgage software platforms and workflow tools (e.g., Encompass, Salesforce, proprietary lending systems).
• Military experience, relevant education, or consulting experience may be considered in lieu of direct work history.
