Sonographer

Join us for a Sonographer role at Women’s Health Arizona
.

Perform all pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds, sonohysterograms, amniocentesis, and chorionic villi sampling. Travel to East Valley locations (Chandler, Ahwatukee, Gilbert, Casa Grande) as needed.

• Review patient medical records and referral information.
• Order and communicate ultrasound procedures in Athena.
• Prepare patient and room, educate patient about the procedure.
• Execute ultrasound, capture images, measurements, and Doppler samples.
• Create a viewpoint report for each ultrasound.
• Present abnormal findings to physicians.
• Bill for procedures performed.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and sterilizing probes.
• Submit supply order requests and report equipment problems.
• Complete quality assurance tasks and attend meetings.
• Attend annual HIPAA and OSHA trainings.
• Assist in training new sonographers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, time management, leadership, and computer skills.
• Patience, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with team members and patients.
• Ability to remain composed in unpredictable, emergency, and crisis situations.

• Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification and complete annual courses.
• Possess or obtain Nuchal Translucency certification.
• Maintain a minimum of 10 ultrasound CMEs per year.
