Job SummaryProvide therapeutic massage techniques for members and guests, promote a warm and relaxed experience.
Key RequirementSaturday and Sunday are required.
Responsibilities- Attract and retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service, anticipating guest needs and adhering to club standards for spa guest service.
- Interact with employees, members and guests in a manner aligned with the People, Places and Programs components of the Village Standards.
- Stock and prepare treatment rooms for guest arrival.
- Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies.
- Greet guests promptly and provide tours of spa facilities when needed.
- Escort guests to treatment rooms and provide a thorough, professional massage.
- Maintain schedules and work hours as booked, running on time for next guest.
- Perform chair massages as needed and escort guests to locker rooms after treatments.
- Clean rooms and restock supplies after each guest.
- Process dirty laundry and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed, including holidays.
- Minimum of one year experience in Massage Therapy.
- AZ Licensed Massage certification.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- CPR certification through company training.
- Cooperative and positive attitude, team player, comfortable in a set schedule environment.
- Professional interaction skills, sensitivity to guest and coworker needs.
- Dependable and able to adjust to schedule changes, including cancellations and additions.
- Previous experience in a luxury private club, resort or spa.
- Training in Hot Stone, Lymphatic and Thai highly preferred.
- Knowledge of wraps and vichy showers.
- Ability to perform therapeutic, deep tissue, sports and pregnancy massage.
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, sitting, lifting, reaching, pinching, grasping and feeling with hands and fingertips to massage clients. Light to medium work involving standing or sitting most of the time, walking, bending, reaching. Frequently exert 10-50 pounds of force.
Visual & Working ConditionsClose visual acuity required to determine massage care needs. Exposure to spa treatment appliances, tools, equipment, electrical current, vibrations, wet surfaces and chemicals. Frequent exposure to high heat, fumes, odors and massage oils in close quarters and spa treatment areas.
