Level 4 Data Center Technician at Compucom Staffing

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Level 4 Data Center Technician to join their team onsite in Chandler, AZ and provide end‑user support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform general server administration tasks, troubleshoot hardware systems, OS installation / configuration
- Maintain a safe lab environment with strict inventory control processes
- Rack new servers and un‑rack/remove old servers
- Perform cable/wire management
- Minimum 5+ years direct I.T. industry experience
- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience with servers and / or Data Center hardware
- Knowledge of computer diagnostics and installation, to include hardware / software troubleshooting and networking
- Demonstrated experience installing server systems and related components such as networking and storage equipment
- Familiarity with the operation and configuration of networking protocols, network card installation, switches, routers, and similar components
- Must be capable of lifting 1U and 2U rack mounted servers up to 35 pounds and familiar with the use of pallet jacks and general data center safety procedures
- Effective communication skills with ability to follow written instructions for hardware and software configurations
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and offer effective solutions under tight deadlines
- Ability to take thorough written notes regarding work performed for later troubleshooting and/or review
- Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills
- Intermediate experience with Windows 2022 installation and configuration including:
- Features need to know roles
- Disk Management
- User Administration
- OS troubleshooting to identify build issues
- Adding SAN drives/MPIO
- Network Management
- Intermediate experience with server hardware Client DL360/380 Gen8, Gen9, Gen
10, Gen
11 and BL460 Gen8, Gen9, Gen
10, and Dell Poweredge R660, R760 - Experience troubleshooting memory, disk, array controller battery, HBA, FlexLOM issues
- Raid configuration/ logical drives
- iLO/iDRAC configuration
- Servers and C7000 enclosures
- Onboard Administrator
- Vsphere 6.5/7.0 vcenter experience
- Microsoft failover cluster knowledge and installation experience
- Microsoft NLB cluster knowledge and installation experience
The rate for this position is between $22.05 - $32.30 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
