- Experience configuring and maintaining SOLR or other search engines
- Exposure to web crawling tools (e.g., Nutch)
- Understanding and troubleshooting problematic search queries
- Experience integrating search with other applications
- Directly collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and provide solutions
- Analyze new requirements, assess business impacts, prioritize work, and estimate effort
- Prepare low- and high-level design documents and technical specifications
- Code and test unit and system components
- Collaborate across different teams to guide and implement search-specific requirements
- Coordinate communication with offshore users/teams
- Code complex and architecture-level components
