The IoT Application Development Manager will lead a team of developers and engineers in the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure applications that leverage data from connected devices and sensors. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in IoT ecosystems, proven leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, solution architects, and quality assurance engineers focused on IoT applications.
• Develop and/or manage off‑site development teams, ensuring quality, timelines, and costs are effectively managed.
• Allocate resources effectively and manage the project pipeline, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.

• Define and drive the technical architecture and technology stack for new and existing IoT applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance requirements are met.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage sprints, backlogs, and releases.
• Ensure application compliance with security standards such as data encryption and authentication protocols specific to the IoT domain.
• Hands‑on involvement in complex architectural decisions, code reviews, and troubleshooting high‑priority technical issues.

• Interface with product management and business stakeholders to refine product requirements and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with the IoT Platform/Hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between device, cloud, and application layers.
• Present technical strategies, project status, and risks to executive leadership.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in software development, focused on web, mobile, or backend applications.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role, leading technical teams.
  • 2+ years of direct experience developing or managing applications within an IoT ecosystem.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  • Proven expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub/Central, and Google Cloud IoT.
  • Strong background in data visualization and reporting dashboards.
  • Backend development skills (Python, Java, Node.js) and database technologies (SQL, No
    
    SQL).
  • Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (TCP, MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/REST).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with data analytics tools for processing high‑volume time‑series data from IoT sensors.
• Knowledge of edge computing and machine learning model deployment on edge devices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
