Our client is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Networking Technician to join their onsite team in Chandler, AZ. You’ll provide first‑level Smart Hands support to second and third level support teams, ensuring reliable network operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain network environment as part of the onsite team supporting physical Smart Hands operations for incidents and requests.
- Provide incident support by working with remote Level 2/3 teams to resolve outages, including replacement of cabling or hardware components.
- Support service requests and collaborate with remote network support teams to install hardware or patch cables to enable new services for customers.
- Participate in hardware rack and stack installation of network and server equipment, cable management, and installation of required fiber and copper patch leads; provide console access to remote teams for configuration if required and test connectivity after installation and configuration.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution; three years of progressive industry may substitute for one year of education.
- Minimum 3+ years combined experience in site support or infrastructure technician roles.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in racking, stacking, connecting, and basic configuration support of networking or server devices.
- Minimum 3+ years experience working in data centers, labs, or server room environments.
- Data center experience required.
- Proven ability to install cable pathways and conveyances (e.g., ladder, trays, support systems).
- Knowledge of terminology related to cabling infrastructure for telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to read cable matrix blueprints, mechanical or electrical requirement documents.
- Experience completing physical cable installations/removals, TOR switches, cable tray systems, and moving network gear and related hardware.
- SCADA experience.
- Structured Network Cabling experience:
Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, RJ45 connectors.
Multimode, Single Mode, ST, SC, LC connectors.
- Wireless LAN Controllers
- Wireless Access Points
- IP Addressing, Layer 2 VLANs, etc.
- Chassis, Supervisor, Line Cards, Power Supplies, etc.
- Transceiver Types – SX, LX, SR, LR, etc.
- Fluke Testers:
Copper – Wire Map, Link Test, etc.;
Fiber – OTDR Testing. - Fluke Aircheck:
Wireless Testing.
The rate for this position is $17.00 – $22.50 per hour, depending on geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.
