Job DescriptionAs a Service Now Architect
, you will play a key role in designing and guiding the implementation of complex Service Now solutions across multiple platforms and modules. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Service Now's capabilities and best practices to architect robust solutions that drive business value, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with client needs.
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Service Now solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, and other Service Now applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to define the architectural vision and roadmap for Service Now implementations.
- Oversee the customization and configuration of Service Now modules, ensuring best practices and scalability.
- Design integrations between Service Now and third-party systems (such as LDAP, Active Directory, SAP, and custom APIs), ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adoption of best practices and consistent, high-quality coding standards.
- Identify opportunities to optimize Service Now environments for performance, usability, and cost-efficiency.
- Establish governance processes to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of Service Now environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and recommendations to clients on Service Now architecture, process automation, and platform capabilities.
- Produce comprehensive solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides.
- Lead efforts for system upgrades, patching, and platform enhancements, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing Service Now solutions, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role.
- Expertise in Service Now architecture, design, and configuration (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CMDB).
- In‑depth knowledge of Service Now platform capabilities, modules, and best practices.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable Service Now solutions, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and emerging modules, with deep knowledge of the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
- Extensive experience with Service Now integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, JWT, and MID Server.
- Proficiency in Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, etc.).
- Expertise in designing solutions to maintain platform integrity, optimize CMDB structure, and enforce best practices in performance, scalability, and usability.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Now update sets, version control, deployment processes, and platform governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with advanced Service Now features such as Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, and Predictive Intelligence.
- Certifications:
Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD), Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA), or Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred. - Strong understanding and practical experience with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change Management, Configuration Management).
- Experience with agile methodologies and managing large‑scale Service Now implementations.
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Service Now ITOM modules (Discovery, Orchestration, Event Management).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and their integration with Service Now.
- Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD pipelines for Service Now deployments.
- Knowledge of automation tools and frameworks to drive operational efficiencies.
- Location & Time Zone:
