Data Center Technician – Technical IT 1 (Night Shift)

Length: 6-18 months

Pay Range: $23.00 – $26.00/hr

Shift: Night Shift A (12 hrs):
Sun–Tues & every other Wednesday

Our client is seeking a Data Center Technician – Technical IT 1 to join their team on the night shift. In this role, you’ll support critical data center operations, including equipment decommissioning, cable management, and system monitoring. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment with a global technology leader.

• Remove network cables as part of data center decommissioning.
• Run, label, and stage power and networking cables; perform DBD removal.
• Prepare, install, troubleshoot, and decommission equipment following standard procedures.
• Perform basic hardware startups/shutdowns and physical audits of data center assets.
• Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors; respond to error messages and assist with debugging.
• Operate spreadsheet programs and other software to load/manipulate data and produce reports.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred).
• 0–2 years of experience in IT or data center operations.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to non‑standard business hours (including weekends/holidays).
