Our client, a leading Banking and Financial Services institution, is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong querying skills in SQL and pseudo-coding skills in Java, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology.

This position involves developing applications and enhancements to support regulatory reporting within the software stack described below.
Area of Job Within the CompanyThe role is within the CCAR team of the broader Capital Markets Risk Technology (CMRT) group. CMRT collaborates with business partners to identify, measure, and report firm-wide market risk. The CCAR team builds and maintains automated tools for enterprise and regulatory reporting, including CCAR, RNiM, and PERT.
Software StackThe applications utilize core Java, Angular, RESTful web services, SQL Server, Autosys, among others.
The developer will work in a team to create new risk processes, refactor, and potentially re-architect large components of existing applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing maintainable and extensible Java code with advanced object-oriented skills
- Creating UIs with RESTful web services and web UI development skills
- Collaborating with business partners to understand needs and design solutions that encompass backend databases, front-end views, and backend services
- Working as an individual contributor and coordinating with cross-functional engineers
- Ensuring quality, maintainability, and extensibility of systems
- Serving as a key technical resource for complex risk applications
Qualifications include a BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.
