We are seeking a highly motivated and sales‑driven leader to serve as Fitness Manager. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about sales and helping members achieve health and wellness goals. The Fitness Manager reports to the District Fitness Manager and will spend time on the floor, setting appointments, building relationships with members, selling training packages, and developing the personal trainer team.
PositionPurpose
Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure a healthy pipeline of clients, and deliver an exceptional fitness experience to members.
Responsibilities- Achieve month‑over‑month sales targets and drive membership growth.
- Collaborate with membership sales team to support new member onboarding.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
- Manage payroll process for staff to ensure timely and correct payment.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to department leaders and staff.
- Ensure all fitness staff hold appropriate certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff on performance.
- Address member concerns, manage inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
- Engage with members in a friendly manner, listen to needs, and provide helpful responses.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of facility.
- Communicate calmly and clearly during emergencies.
- 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus.
- 3–4 years of customer service experience.
- Personal Training sales experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
- Strong detail orientation, systematic problem solving, good time management and organization.

- Must pass background check.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Valid PT certification.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Ability to work in a gym setting and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to use company computer system, prepare documents, enter data, read reports.
- Ability to bend routinely, lift more than 40 lbs.
Base pay range: $58,656 – $100,000 USD per year.
Additional compensation: commission and bonus.
